School Security News: School Threats made using Yik Yak soical media app

A suspect has been arrested in Michigan after threatening Midland Academy . The unknown suspect used the social media app Yik Yak to make his threat anonymously. However investigators were able to trace his message to a more specific location where they seized his cell phones and computers. School Security News: Shooting threat written on bathroom wall of middle school

Students of Mt. Pisgah Middle School in Cordova were sent home after a threat of a shooting incident was discovered written on the wall of one of the school’s bathrooms. Parents were notified with a letter and the following day metal detectors were used to ensure no weapons were allowed into the school.
